Our Story

Long before we became parents, we started paying closer attention to the products and materials we brought into our home. Then we had a baby, and that became even more important.

When it was time to start solids, we wanted to make thoughtful choices about both her food and her tableware. We found a beautiful bamboo set that we loved and used every day. When the brand later closed down, it got us thinking: maybe we could create our own.

What followed was a lot of research. We initially thought we’d use bamboo too, but quickly discovered there was much more to consider — from how it’s made and what it’s bonded with, to whether the finished product met the standards we were looking for. The more we learned, the clearer our direction became: stainless steel, silicone and ceramic.

And somewhere along the way, Scrunchy Lunch was born.

Where did the name come from?

Well, we’re what you might call “scrunchy” parents. We like natural, considered choices, while still embracing the modern conveniences that make family life easier. For us, it’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s simply about making thoughtful choices where we can, based on what we know.

We’ve researched our materials, carefully considered what we use, and independently tested our Everyday Set. They’re the pieces we use with our own daughter every day — and we’re proud to share them with your family too.
